Plot Summary

This is the true story of a man who engaged in a sexual relationship with a female demon or succubus who called herself Lliana in attempt to get over his breakup with his fiancé. In the course of their relationship, he discovers that the succubus has been following the events of his life since his childhood, and that their meeting is the final stage of a lifelong generational curse dating back to the 11th Century in Venice, Italy. He discovers that his lineage to the 28th Doge of Venice is the reason his life has been cursed, and he must now consider that the demon lover he has fallen in love with might be a demonic assassin come to claim his soul. He learns that unless she wins his soul over, she will be banished in The Arid Places, a fate all demons fear. Will she betray him, or can their love survive her fear of banishment that awaits her if she fails to dispatch his soul to hell?
